All trips can be tailored to your preference, including the number of days. This is a sample itinerary:
The Mamanuca and Yasawa islands are located on the drier side of Fiji, featuring beaches and a generally sunny climate. Most passages occur inside the reefs and typically have short durations, making the area suitable for those who prefer to avoid open water navigation. Activities available in this region include surfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing, visiting beaches, and observing the delightful Fijian culture and hospitality.
Day 1
Board Crazy Horse at Denarau Marina, just 20 minutes from Nadi Airport. Depart for Musket Cove (1.5 hrs). Choose to dive at Namotu, surf Wilkes Passage, snorkel, explore the resort, or shop locally.
Day 2
Cruise through the Mamanucas, visiting destinations like Sand Cay, Castaway Island, Mociu Island, or Vanua Levu for snorkeling and a beachside lunch. Choose to dive or snorkel at Mana or Vanua Levu in the morning, then dive ‘Fan Club’ in the afternoon. Anchor in Waya or continue to Nanuya Balavu.
Day 3
Snorkel with manta rays, then cruise for 3 hours to Blue Lagoon, ideal for beaches, kayaking, diving, and water sports. Try a Fijian lovo feast, enjoy local music and kava at Otto and Fanny’s, or dive at sites like Petes, Boyds Reef, Bonzai, and Cabbage Patch. The area also offers excellent snorkelling.
Day 4
Visit Yasawa Island, the northernmost in the group. Explore its beaches, experience traditional Meke dance and singing at Yasawa I Rara village, and browse the shell and handicraft market. Activities include swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and diving at Yawini Island wall or Black Rock.
Day 5
Head to Sawa-i-Lau to visit the underwater caves featured in the ‘Blue Lagoon’ film. Swim in the lagoon, and if you're feeling adventurous, use a flashlight to swim into the cave. Stay overnight at Sawa-i-Lau or continue to Malakati, weather permitting.
Day 6
Start early for Naviti Island: lunch, beaches, hiking, swimming, and snorkeling. Anchor overnight if conditions are calm; otherwise, move to Soso Bay in the afternoon.
Day 7
Visit a village before making a 4 hour journey back to Malolo Island, fishing along the way. Stop at one of the Mamanuca Islands for lunch and a break.
Day 8
An early snorkel, dive or watersports before making the 1 hour journey back to Denarau Marina.
